We are delighted to announce being ranked first in three categories of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2025, including being 1st in the UK for Teaching.
Retaining 1st in the UK for Learning Opportunities and 1st in the UK for Assessment and Feedback from 2024, we also ranked 2nd in the UK for Learning Resources and are proud to have achieved the additional accolade of being top for teaching.
At an institution level, BGU’s positivity scores exceeded sector averages in all themes. This trend continues at an individual question level where we scored higher than the sector average across the board.
We are incredibly proud to also receive recognition in subject specific categories. Overall, BGU is ranked 1st in the UK for Student Satisfaction in English Literature and Business, 2nd in the UK for Student Satisfaction in Archaeology and 4th in the UK for Student Satisfaction in History.
The NSS provides students with the opportunity to submit feedback on their university experience. Undergraduates in their final year of study are invited to answer questions on everything from their teaching and facilities to learning opportunities, resources and support.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Andrew Gower, said: “It is very encouraging to achieve such a notable performance in the National Student Survey 2025.
“As a person-centred and forward-looking university committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our students on campus, in the workplace and online, we are delighted to receive these results. This sector-leading success is testament to the dedication and hard work of the staff team and the personalised experience we provide.
“At this time of year, we look forward with excitement to celebrating the success of our students at their July graduation and welcoming a growing number of students in September to Lincoln Bishop University.”
